Cat Scratcher Table for Both Sofa Arms: What a Pair Really Costs

by Sebastian Frank on Oct 23, 2026
Cat scratcher table for both sofa arms: a pair of Walnut-finish CozeCat Side Tables with 2-inch risers

Quick answer: A cat scratcher table for both sofa arms means one Left and one Right table. A CozeCat Side Table Pair costs $329.99 with no riser, $359.99 with 2-inch risers and $379.99 with 4-inch risers, while 2 Cat-e-Corners start at $758 at listed prices. Buy a Pair only if your cat scratches both arms.

By Sebastian Frank, Founder of CozeCats · Last updated: October 24, 2026

Many shoppers do the same math in the comments of scratcher-table videos: one table is fine, but two tables for both arms can double the bill. This guide shows the real cost of covering both sides, when you actually need two tables and how to pick Left and Right correctly.

Cat-e-Corner figures are two single tables at the listed per-table price; we did not find a separate pair price on their page.

The CozeCat Side Table Pair at $329.99 costs less than a single Cat-e-Corner at $379. That is the main reason two-arm households pick it. Single tables are on the same product page if you only need one side.

Do I really need a table on both arms?

Not always. Cats scratch to mark territory, stretch and maintain their claws, and they usually prefer a few favorite spots. Before buying two tables, check:

  • Damage on both arms? Look for frayed fabric or scuffed leather on the outside of each arm.
  • Which side faces the room? Cats often scratch the arm they pass on the way to their food, their bed or the door.
  • More than one cat? Two cats often choose two different corners.

If only one arm is damaged, start with one table on that side and watch for two weeks. If your cat moves to the other arm, add the second table. We cover this in cat scratches both sides of the couch.

How do I choose Left and Right?

Stand facing the sofa, as if you were about to sit down. The arm on your left needs a Left table and the arm on your right needs a Right table. The Pair includes one of each. If you are unsure, our Left vs. Right guide has diagrams.

How do the two options compare beyond price?

Is a pair worth it compared with repairing the sofa?

Reupholstering two sofa arms can cost more than a pair of tables, depending on your fabric and your area, so get a local quote if you are weighing the two. A pair also gives you two side tables, so you may not need to buy separate end tables. For a full cost-per-year view, read Is a cat scratcher side table worth it?.

What about sectionals, recliners and chaises?

A sectional often has one exposed arm plus a chaise end. The CozeCat also works at a chaise or at front and back corners. Our sectional and recliner guide shows layouts, and the Pair page shows both finishes side by side.

What do shoppers say about covering both sides?

A recurring comment under scratcher table videos is that one table is not enough, because cats simply move to the other arm. Many shoppers say that paying premium prices twice is a deal-breaker. That is why the CozeCat Pair exists: one order with a Left and a Right table, from $329.99.

How do you measure both sofa arms before ordering a Pair?

Most sofas have two arms of the same height, but older, reclining or sectional pieces sometimes do not. Measure each arm on its own before you order:

  1. Floor to top of arm. Measure at the front corner, where cats usually scratch. Write down both numbers.
  2. Pick the height. Choose the CozeCat height closest to each arm: 21.5, 23.5 or 25.5 inches. A Pair uses the same height on both sides, so if your arms differ by more than about an inch, consider two single tables in different heights instead.
  3. Check the gap beside each arm. You need floor space for the table to sit flush against the arm. Move side tables, lamps or plant stands first.
  4. Check for recliner movement. On a power or manual recliner, open the seat fully and make sure the table does not block the mechanism.

If the numbers line up, the Pair of CozeCat Side Tables is the simplest way to cover both arms with matching finishes. For more on height, see scratcher table height.

How should I place two tables?

  • Push each table flush against the outside of its arm so the sisal covers the target area.
  • Match the heights to each arm. Most sofas have equal arms, so a Pair with matching risers works.
  • Leave walkways clear, because cats prefer to approach a scratcher head-on.
  • Use the tops: a lamp on one side and a plant or books on the other make the pair look intentional.

What if I have two cats?

Two cats often split their favorite spots, one per arm. A Pair covers both, and each cat gets its own marking spot, which can reduce competition. Add a flat or horizontal scratcher nearby if one cat prefers floor scratching.

What does a pair cost over time?

Mats are the running cost. If each table needs one new mat a year, a CozeCat Pair costs $87.72 a year in mats at $43.86 each. Two Cat-e-Corner mats at $59 cost $118. Your cat's habits decide the real number.

FAQ: cat scratcher table for both sofa arms

How much is a pair of CozeCat Side Tables?

The Pair costs $329.99 with no riser, $359.99 with 2-inch risers and $379.99 with 4-inch risers, as listed on October 23, 2026.

Is there a Cat-e-Corner pair price?

We did not find a separate pair price on the Cat-e-Corner product page we checked. Two single tables cost from $758 in Maple at listed prices.

Can I mix finishes in a pair?

The Pair comes as one finish, Walnut or Maple. If you want mixed finishes, order a Left and a Right separately.

Should I buy one table first?

If only one arm is damaged, yes. Start with one table and add the second if your cat moves to the other arm.

Will two tables look odd in my living room?

Many owners use them as matching end tables. Choosing the finish that matches your other wood furniture helps them blend in.
